THANKSGIVING HOLIDAY

November, 26th was the Thanksgiving Day. Everyone had a day off because it was a holiday. I have planned to invite all my niece and nephew to join dinner in my house. I had thirty guests total include my son's friends too. I prepared foods , soft drink , supplies for the party before one day Thanksgiving. I bought two pound of ground pork mixed with shrimp, taro and carrot wrapped with the spring roll pastry. I made egg-roll about two hundred rolls stored in the freezer, Thai desert with cream milk, beef curry, chow mein, shrimp fried rice, pastas with tomatoes sauce. I invited all relatives to come in my house at five o'clock afternoon. So that day I started set up the table at 9:00 am, after I prepared cleaning vegetable, meat and cooked something that I needed before guests coming. I had ready all food at 2:00 pm and I took a rest to eat my lunch. I watched on T.V. until 4:00 o'clock, and I started to fry my egg-roll, warmed up a beef carry. Later, all my nieces, nephews and my youngest brother with his kid came. We enjoiyed food together, talking and kids played a game in my son room. My son's friends were come late because they still cooked turkey. About 6:30 pm , turkey was done and my son's friends came over and they started to enjoiy the food. We had fun together and see each other untill 9:30 pm, the party finished. I thanks to God that give me a good life, healthy, and have a son graduated from UCLA and a better job teacher in the high school.

MY DIFFICULTY LIFE

It was the best of time. It was the wonderful of life. Twenty eight years ago, I had the worst of life in Vietnam. All my family had to have a new shelter for living. We lived difficulty in the small house and worked hardly to earn money. Everyone had to go working except my mom and daddy. We did not have a own house and neither good things. Before , my native country was Cambodia. I was born and lived happy with my parent. I had five sisters and four brothers, we lived together in a big house and had everything good for us. I had only to study and never thought about something happened in the future. Later, we had a bad war in my country, we lost a property and everything in the house. We had only carry something that was important for us looked like a food, clothes and stock value. I had been in Vietnam for five years, after that I left to come in the United State. I came to live in California since 1981. I was single living with two younger brothers, I had English class only three months and training skill for one year. I got a license of cosmetologist since 1984, but I didn't like to work in the beauty salon. I worked for a space flex company in the city El Segundo a year. After that I got married with my husband in March, 1984 and I moved to work another company in Burbank. I worked in the jewelry company for twenty years. Now, I lost a job almost one year, because of the bad economist.

MY HOLIDAY

Yesterday was a Veterans' Day November 11th. School not open, because it was a holiday everyone stayed home or went shopping. And for me, I had a friend to call me and asked to planning a vacation with her. After the calling, I and my friend went together to the American Asian Travel that the place we arranged the air ticket. We would like to travel to China, but now the weather in China is very cold , so we couldn't go. And my friend said we tried to ask another ticket to Vietnam, I surprised can not believed that the airfare was very cheap. Later we went home and made a decision. Finally, we couldn't go to Vietnam, because of the season 's raining. And then my friend thinks that we will planning to go next year better.

MY ADVICING TO KENJI

Hey Kenji!
What have you got to lost your weight? And couldn't sleep at night? I think , it not easy for you that take time to forget her.First you have to take care your health because you need to live and make your family happy. Then you have to take a vacation or visit relative for relaxing and enjoying. After that, you can go to a dancing cub make friend or set a new dating. It is important, that you need find a good person to math with your. However you shouldn't be impatient. They have a lot persons are nice and beautiful waiting for you.

9 TRAITS OF A GOOD PERSON

For or living, the life is a important for us. We have nine traits of a good person.
-Love is that make a person trust together.
-Living with joyfully and happy.
-A peace is that a person live independently.
-A patience is that something happens you should have involve together.
-Kindness is that make you be nice with other person.
-Goodness a kind of a person have a big heart and share of kindness to eachother.
-Don't be selflessness, we have to help to do something that we can.
-Gentleness is that you respect and polite to another person.
-Don't be self-control, you may be loose something or not comfortably

.In my life I'm really like of the kindness, because it can make me feeling better and happy. It is strongly, trustfully, confidently, and comfortably.

MY LIFE IN AMERICA

My name is ANNE TRAN, was born in Cambodia. My family has ten peoples, four brothers and six sisters. In Cambodia, I was a student at the twelve grade in High school . My parent had own business and they can support all my family. In 1975 my parent moved to Vietnam, because the Communist Po-Pom came to kill many peoples. I had lost two sisters that they were married and died in the killing field. In Vietnam all my brothers and sisters worked hard on own business about five years. After my family have enough money, my dad sent me and two brothers to cross Cambodia and Thailand. Finally, I and two brothers had lived in the United State since 1982. I came and lived with my sponsor's friend in California. I was happy to live with two younger brothers because the government welfare support me. My two brothers could' finish high school include me too. Because I didn't have any relative help me. After one years in school, I and two brothers had to find a job. I started to work in 1984 and got married on March, 1984 too. I and my husband had two kids, one boy and one girl. I met my husband in the camp Thailand but I got married in the United State. I worked in the three company jewelry about twenty years. From now the economic slow down I lost my job six months ago, I was very sad because I liked to work better than stayed at home. Six ago, I had lost my husband because he had a pancreatic cancer. I worked very hard to support my two kids. Now, I am happy that I have one son had graduated from UCLA. He is a teacher of the mathematics in High school. And I still have another daughter in the UCLA. She is a student third year of the University, and her measure is a economic business. My son was twenty-four years old and my daughter was twenty-one years old. I was so proud that my two kids tried studying hard and don't make me worried too much about them. My life , now have more comfortable and living happy with my two kids. Thank you God ! that help me and my family.

A different illness

Six years ago, I had a problem in my family because my husband was diagnosed with a terminal illness. I was very sad that the doctor told me my husband had Pancreatic cancer. After finding the disease the doctor tried to help me a lot but my husband could not survive. For nine months, I took care of my husband, brought him to the doctor clinic, doing Radiation and Chemotherapy. I suffered a lot because my husband could'nt eat well, had pain and lost weight. Finally, I lost my husband from my life. I think that health is important for everybody and make living happy.

AMERICAN DREAM
Last winter, when I went to work in Downtown L.A., I met my childhood friend on the bus. I was surprised and I couldn't believe it that my childhood friend still recognized me, since I was eleven years old in elementary school with her in Cambodia. My childhood friend's name is KIM , she told me about her story, that her family survived under the Communist Khmer Rouge. She came to the United States in 1981. She was twenty five years old. She had gone for many years without school, and told me " I still wanted my education back." When she came to the U.S.A., she studied hard, not working because she was lucky that her brother helped with the cost of living. Finally, she graduated from Cal State in L.A. She worked for the City of Los Angles in the Police Department (L.A.P.D.) in Downtown L.A. Now she was retired and she was only fifty- six years old.
I am proud of my childhood friend, that she has such a good life and is living so comfortably.

My summer vacation

It is nice and good time for my summer vacation. I went to Yellowstone National Park with my brother family. We traveled by tour bus and stayed in the hotel for six days.The first day, we arrived at Denver and next we visited another state. At dinner time , we went to the buffet but the food not expensive.The Yellowstone Park is beautiful and nice weather, the mountain Rushmore that was sculptured into faces of the four formal U.S Presidents. Last day we arrived at Out let mall and enjoyed the shopping.
